Organization Overview
Comstock Fuels offers advanced lignocellulosic biomass refining solutions that are proven to produce cellulosic ethanol, renewable diesel, sustainable aviation fuel, gasolines and other renewable fuels at market-leading yields and carbon intensities.
Our process is based on a portfolio of related patented, patent-pending, and proprietary intellectual properties, including intellectual properties licensed from Comstock’s partners. Generally, our process involves the following: (1) digestion and fractionation of lignocellulosic biomass, (2) bioconversion of cellulose into Cellulosic Ethanol, (3) esterification of lignin and other derivatives into Bioleum Oil, (4) hydrodeoxygenation of Bioleum Oil into Hydrodeoxygenated Bioleum Oil (“HBO”), (5) refining of Cellulosic Ethanol and/or HBO into ASTM compliant renewable fuels, and (6) gas-to-liquids emissions capture and conversion.
Our business model involves the direct operation and licensing of integrated biorefineries based on the Comstock Process. We are currently evaluating several sites for the first planned Bioleum Refinery, with an initial nameplate capacity of 75,000 MTPY. This Facility is designed to profitably produce renewable fuels and provide the operational data required for subsequent scale-up on-site to 1,000,000 MTPY The operational data acquired after commissioning of the Commercial Demonstration Facility will be used to support development of additional Bioleum Refineries by the Company and its licensees.
